Sri Lanka, Aug. 23 -- A hand grenade was thrown at a house in 141 Watta on Leslie Ranagala Mawatha, Borella, in an apparent attack linked to an ongoing dispute between organized crime groups, police said.

The targeted residence is reportedly linked to an associate of organized crime figure Kavishka Madushan Abeywickrama, alias "Wanathe Chathu," who was recently arrested in Dubai.

The grenade was thrown at the house during the morning hours but failed to detonate..
