Sri Lanka, June 22 -- The Global Sri Lankan Forum (GSLF) has called on the President to urgently intervene on humanitarian grounds regarding the rapidly deteriorating health condition of the former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), Major General (Retired) Suresh Sallay.

In a letter addressed to the President, the forum requested that investigations into Major General Sallay be expedited through a transparent judicial process, rather than holding him in prolonged administrative detention. The GSLF emphasized the need for immediate attention to his current custody conditions and worsening physical well-being.
