Sri Lanka, June 25 -- Galadari Hotels (Lanka) yesterday announced that the reopening of its flagship Colombo property has been pushed to the early part of the fourth quarter of 2026.

The refurbishment project was previously expected to be completed by the middle of the year.

In a filing to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), the company informed the project completion timelines had been revised, but did not disclose reasons for the latest revision.

In December 2025, Galadari Hotels entered into a supplementary agreement with the BOI to extend the implementation period of the refurbishment project from 10 November 2025 to 9 November 2026. At the time, the company had indicated that the hotel was expected to reopen by mid-2026.
