Sri Lanka, April 1 -- Sri Lanka has secured fuel supplies from Russia, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) stated.
CPC Managing Director Dr. Mayura Neththikumara stated that delays in the arrival of fuel shipments are due to congestion at the country's two main fuel unloading terminals.
Explaining the situation, Dr. Neththikumara said discussions with Russian authorities are ongoing, and fuel shipments for April and May have largely been confirmed.
He further noted that Sri Lanka currently has only two primary locations capable of handling fuel unloading, and logistical and technical arrangements - including scheduling the arrival of vessels from Russian suppliers - are still being finalised.
