Sri Lanka, April 23 -- The Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) today resumed operations at its Yakkala office in the Gampaha District following a court order directing the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) to hand over the premises.

The Gampaha Magistrate's Court had earlier ruled that the takeover of the office by the JVP was unlawful and ordered that the property be returned to the FSP.

Legal action had been initiated by FSP Administration Secretary Chamira Koswatte and several party members, who filed a petition before court alleging that a group of JVP supporters had forcibly entered the Yakkala office. The petition further claimed that the group had assaulted occupants and taken control of the premises.
