Sri Lanka, Nov. 5 -- The Sri Lanka College of Pharmacy Professionals (SLCPP) brings together pharmacists with postgraduate qualifications working across different areas of the profession. As we celebrated the World Pharmacists Day recently, the SLCPP wishes to take readers along the journey of a medicine - from its early discovery and development to its eventual use by patients by highlighting the many roles pharmacists play along the way.

A pharmacist is much more than the person behind the pharmacy counter. Internationally, pharmacists are recognised as scientifically trained healthcare professionals with expertise that contributes to the safe and effective use of medicines.
