Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- Four people were killed in separate road accidents reported in Kotawila, Matara, Koslanda and Keppetipola on September 8, police said.

In the first incident, a three-wheeler travelling along the Laabima-Sultanagoda road in the Kotawila Police Division overturned after its driver lost control. The 68-year-old driver from Sultanagoda was critically injured and later died while receiving treatment at Matara Hospital.

Later that evening, a fatal collision was reported near the Godagama Highway entrance along the Matara-Akuressa road. A motorcycle attempting to overtake a bus collided with an oncoming motorcycle.
