Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the theft of gold items worth Rs. 14.1 million from a house in Mount Lavinia.

Following a complaint lodged with the Mount Lavinia Police, officers from the Mount Lavinia Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau launched an investigation into the burglary.

Police said they arrested two female suspects in the Dehiwala area. Meanwhile, another male suspect and a female suspect were taken into custody in the Hatton-Pathana area for allegedly assisting the commission of the crime.

Police recovered a large portion of the stolen gold items, including eight pairs of earrings, four pendants, a bangle, ten gold chains, a bracelet, and two gold rings. The recovered items have...
