Sri Lanka, March 7 -- Condemning the war in the Middle East, Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said today that those who are engaged in hostilities are fools.

"Those who are at war today think they are strong, but they are really weak. They are wasting their resources which could be used to make the world citizens happy. I saw one global leader saying their weapons are over, but better ones will be used later. What fools are they? Only fools engage in war," Cardinal Ranjith told a service held at the Thewatte Basilica today.
