Sri Lanka, July 13 -- A fire was reported at the Kalutara District Secretariat this afternoon (13), with emergency services swiftly responding to the incident.

Preliminary information suggests the blaze may have been caused by an electrical fault inside the building, although the exact cause has yet to be confirmed.

A fire engine was dispatched to the scene to bring the fire under control, while officials assessed the situation.
