SriLanka, Oct. 4 -- An approach grounded in factual evidence and inclusiveness is essential when addressing issues related to persons who went missing during the war, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa told International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representative Angelique Appeyroux during a meeting today.

According to the Opposition Leader's Office, Premadasa stressed the need for Sri Lanka to strengthen institutions responsible for providing humanitarian assistance.

He also emphasized that such institutions should be independent and protected from any form of external influence, the office said.
