Sri Lanka, Sept. 30 -- The Court of Appeal today decided to dismiss the writ petition filed by leader of the Sarvajana Balaya Party, Parliamentarian Dilith Jayaweera challenging the legality of a complaint lodged by the Colombo Fort Magistrate in connection with contempt of court proceedings.

A three-judge bench of the Court of Appeal, comprising President of the Court Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya, Justice Chamath Morais and Justice Adithya Patabendige unanimously decided to dismiss this writ petition in limine.
