Sri Lanka, Aug. 3 -- Several houses located along the banks of Dik Oya in Hatton were inundated today (3) after the stream, which carries water from Hatton to the Castlereagh Reservoir, overflowed following heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, a tourist hotel in the Nawalapitiya area was also inundated after the Mahaweli River overflowed following heavy rains.
