Dengue cases surge as 5,000 patients reported in just 10 days
Sri Lanka, June 11 -- Sri Lanka has recorded more than 5,000 dengue cases within the past 10 days, raising concerns among health authorities about the growing pressure on the country's healthcare system.
Consultant Physician Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) warned that if the current trend continues, hospitals could face an unbearable burden in the coming weeks.
