Srilanka, June 28 -- The health facilities of Delft and Analaitivu Islands have received special attention from the government following an inspection visit by Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.

The Minister's visit focused on improving healthcare services for thousands of residents living in the Northern Province's island communities.

Officials said the inspection was carried out to directly observe the conditions of island hospitals and understand the practical difficulties faced by healthcare workers and residents.

The Minister reviewed issues including medicine supplies, availability of doctors and nurses, medical equipment, ambulance and emergency transport arrangements, and public health services.
