Sri Lanka, Nov. 5 -- The Police have requested media institutions to refrain from further publishing or broadcasting a previous notice seeking public assistance to apprehend a 47-year-old man wanted in connection with several complaints of alleged sexual harassment through social media platforms.

In a clarification issued on November 5, the Police Media Division said the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in charge of the Ampara Division had informed the authorities that the suspect had filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal seeking an order preventing his arrest.
