Sri Lanka, Aug. 3 -- One of the containers that fell into the sea from the merchant ship in the sea off Colombo harbour has been washed ashore at Athuruwella in Induruwa in Bentota yesterday.

The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources has announced that 17 containers had fallen into the sea and requested all fisheries trawlers sailing in the sea off the Southern coast to be watchful of them.

It is reported that these containers were floating in the direction of Chilaw, Negombo, Beruwala and Galle owing to the strong winds and strong currents.
