SriLanka, Oct. 10 -- The first meeting of a special committee appointed to review regulations and standing orders under the Prisons Ordinance was held at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (9).

The committee was appointed following discussions between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and members of the Maha Sangha representing the three Nikayas on October 8.
