Clean Colombo drive focuses on drainage, waste management
Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- The progress of the Clean Sri Lanka initiative's 'Clean Colombo' programme was reviewed at a meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (09), under the chairmanship of Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
The programme focuses on improving Colombo's urban environment through the rehabilitation of sewerage networks and drainage canals, environmental beautification and improvements to waste management.
During the meeting, officials held extensive discussions on ongoing projects and action plans being implemented by the relevant institutions, while reviewing progress made so far.
