Sri Lanka, April 6 -- A 26-year-old Chinese national has been arrested by the Western Province South Crime Division in connection with the murder of a Chinese woman in Kohuwala on March 23, 2026.

The suspect was arrested on Sunday (05) at a hotel on Srimath Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha in Colpetty. Police said he was taken into custody along with three cameras and 280 milligrams of "ice" (methamphetamine), before being handed over to the Kohuwala Police Station.
