Sri Lanka, March 5 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has denied reports circulating in certain media outlets claiming that a group of its employees assaulted an individual.

In a clarification, CEB Deputy General Manager (Business and Operations Strategy) Noel Priyantha said that a video clip circulating, a group of individuals assaulting a person had been circulated in some media, alleging that those involved were CEB employees.

He strongly highlighted that no employee of the CEB was involved in the incident.

Priyantha requested the cooperation of media institutions in disseminating the correction in order to avoid any misunderstandings among the public arising from the reports.
