Sri Lanka, Sept. 1 -- The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) yesterday released its 'Economic and Social Statistics of Sri Lanka 2026', providing the updated long-term data covering the key areas of the economy and financial system.
The annual publication, compiled by the CBSL's Statistics Department, is available online in a downloadable format for use by the businesses, policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders.
The database comprises statistical tables grouped under eight areas: national output, expenditure and income, economic and social infrastructure, prices, wages and employment, external trade and finance, government finance, money, interest rates and capital markets, financial sector performance and Sri Lanka's position rela...
