Sri Lanka, Sept. 1 -- Carson Cumberbatch PLC and five affiliated companies have acquired a combined 10.05 percent of the voting rights in C T Holdings PLC, according to a disclosure to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).
The six companies purchased a total of 20.25 million shares in C T Holdings on August 24 and 25, marking a sizeable investment by Carson Cumberbatch Group in the diversified conglomerate.
Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC made the largest individual purchase, acquiring 5.07 million shares, representing 2.52 percent of C T Holdings.
Rubber Investment Trust Ltd purchased 3.44 million shares or 1.71 percent, while Ceylon Guardian Investment Trust PLC and Ceylon Investment PLC each acquired about 3.33 million shares, equivalent to 1....
