Sri Lanka, March 27 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) will conduct raids on wholesale stores of importers and wholesale dealers until April 30 to prevent hoarding of stocks during the festive season, Director of Consumer Affairs and Information at the Consumer Affairs Authority, Asela Bandara said.
He told a news conference at the Government Information Department that the CAA officials will get the stocks of the stores to see whether any stocks of goods are being hoarded without being released to the market.
Bandara said raids will also be conducted on retail outlets to prevent goods from being sold over the controlled prices.
