Sri Lanka, July 25 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), together with the Police Special Task Force (STF), has seized a stock of expired fertilizers that had allegedly been secretly stored in lorries by an institution in the Bomiriya area of Kaduwela.

The raid was carried out on the evening of July 21 by the CAA and the STF's Special Operations Unit No. 01.

During the operation, officials recovered 376 kilograms of expired solid fertilizers and 1,170 litres of expired liquid fertilizers.

The seized fertilizer stock has been taken into the custody of the Consumer Affairs Authority and sealed, while further investigations are underway.
