Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- The price of a 450g loaf of bread and other bakery products, including short eats, will be increased by Rs. 5 with effect from midnight today (October 30), the All Ceylon Bakery Owners' Association (ACBOA) announced.

Association President N. K. Jayawardena made the announcement at a press conference held at the association's headquarters in Raddolugama this morning, following a decision taken by its executive committee.

He said companies engaged in the sale of wheat flour in Sri Lanka had increased the price of flour by Rs. 13 per kilogram with effect from midnight on October 20.
