SriLanka, Aug. 15 -- Bangladesh took a 153 runs lead over Australia in the first innings with four wickets in hand ending the second day at 351 for 6 in the first cricket Test at the Marara Oval in Darwin yesterday.

Bangladesh resumed from an overnight score of 96 for 1 after bowling out Australia for 198 and continued to dominate the home team's bowlers as Tanzid Tamim went on to post a century before he was dismissed for 101.

Veteran Mushfiqur Rahim (36) and Najmul Shanto (84) took over and kept the scoreboard ticking as Bangladesh went past the 300-run mark.

Shanto and Tamim featured in a 93-run stand for the third wicket after Tamim and Mominul Haque (49) associated in a 102-run stand for the second wicket.
