Srilanka, Aug. 16 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to oversee the appointment of an audit committee to investigate into alleged financial irregularities at the Divisional Secretariat (DS) offices across the Nuwara Eliya District, Nuwara Eliya District Development Committee Chairman and MP Manjula Suraweeraarachchi said.

Suraweeraarachchi said the audit will cover all 10 Divisional Secretariat offices in the district for the period from 2023 to 2026.

According to the MP, it will specifically examine the alleged financial fraud involving Aswesuma beneficiaries at the Norwood and Talawakelle Divisional Secretariat offices.
