Sri Lanka, July 21 -- The Examinations Department has called for applications for the Second Efficiency Bar Examination for Sri Lanka Teachers' Service officers serving in national and provincial schools, scheduled to be held in September 2026.

The relevant Gazette notification was published on July 17, 2026, while online applications will be accepted from July 20 to August 10 through the official website of the Examinations Department.

According to the notification, teachers who were directly recruited to Grade 2-II of the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service based on a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree, as well as those promoted or appointed to Grade 2-II after initially being recruited to Grade 3, are required to complete the II Efficienc...
