Sri Lanka, March 2 -- Any impact of the current crisis in the global fuel supply will be reflected in local pricing only after April, an official said yesterday.

In Sri Lanka, the crisis has triggered snaking queues for fuel purchases by people who fear possible price hikes .

However, The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), the key supplier of fuel, has sufficient stocks till April. Besides, previously ordered shipments keep coming .

CPC General Manager Mayura Neththikumara told Daily Mirror that the price revision for the current month had been done and therefore there would not be any interim revisions in between.

"If there is any impact, it will be felt only after April, " he said.
