Sri Lanka, July 16 -- The closed Anawilundawa Railway Sub-Station will be reopened to the public with the appointment of a relief station master, the Railway Station Masters' Association said.

The Railway Department had recently decided to temporarily close the station following the resignation of the Sub-Station Master who was serving at Anawilundawa.

However, the department has now taken steps to resume passenger services by assigning a relief station master to the station.
