Anawilundawa railway sub-station to reopen after temporary closure
Sri Lanka, July 16 -- The closed Anawilundawa Railway Sub-Station will be reopened to the public with the appointment of a relief station master, the Railway Station Masters' Association said.
The Railway Department had recently decided to temporarily close the station following the resignation of the Sub-Station Master who was serving at Anawilundawa.
However, the department has now taken steps to resume passenger services by assigning a relief station master to the station.
Meanwhile, arrangements have also been made to restore services at the Akurala and Andadola Railway Sub-Stations, which have remained closed for several months. Relief station masters will be deployed to provide the required services to the public today or tomorr...
