Sri Lanka, March 6 -- News being spread on social media that Iran is to stop providing fuel to Sri Lanka is far from being the truth, Minister of Justice Harshana Nanayakkara told Parliament today.

He said the other news that the Sri Lankan government had supported the USA to launch an attack on the sunken Iranian ship is also false.

The Minister said some Opposition MPs even made false claims that there were children onboard the Iranian ship that was rescued by Sri Lanka.
