Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- A 12-year-old boy has died after falling from an apartment building in the Colombo 09 area, police said.

According to initial investigations, the child had been sightseeing with several other children near a swimming pool located on an upper floor of the 14-storey apartment building where he lived.

The boy reportedly fell from the building to the ground, resulting in his death.

Maradana Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
