Sri Lanka, April 6 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board said that water supply to Palanwaththa and the surrounding areas in Homagama will be interrupted from 8.00 p.m. today (06) until 8.00 a.m. tomorrow (07), due to prevailing dry weather conditions.

In a statement, the Board said water production has been limited at the Labugama Water Treatment Plant and Kalatuwawa Water Treatment Plant, which depend on feeder reservoirs where water levels are declining rapidly.

Accordingly, areas supplied by these treatment plants will experience restricted water supply.

A separate 12-hour water cut has also been imposed in Homagama and its surrounding areas (Zone 01) from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. today (06).
