Sri Lanka, March 8 -- The Sri Lankan nation will be branded before the world as a nation that has taken up the banner of humanity among those who support and bless it in any conflict that arises in the world, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today.

The President said that Sri Lanka is not only rooted domestically but also holds its place on the international stage.

He made these remarks this morning at the National People's Power (NPP) International Women's Day celebration held at the P.D. Sirisena Stadium in Colombo.
