Mumbai, Sept. 2 -- Waaree Energies Limited (Waaree) and its subsidiaries have secured two letters of award for large scale renewable energy projects that combine solar generation with energy storage, expanding the group's presence across utility scale solar power and battery backed renewables. The awards were disclosed through statutory filings and are positioned as significant additions to the group's order book. The transactions cover both development contracts and engineering, procurement and construction assignments.

Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree, has received a Letter of Award from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited for development of a 700 MW solar project paired with a 700 MW/2,800 MWh energy storage solution (ESS) in Solapur, Maharashtra. The project has been awarded on a one-time basis and carries a power purchase agreement with a 25-year tenure from the scheduled commencement of supply date. The subsidiary confirmed that there are no related party interests associated with the award.

Separately, Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited has been awarded a Letter of Award for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works for a 291 MWp ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project integrated with a 280 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The order has been issued by an Indian thermal power generating company and is scheduled for completion in the financial year 2027-28. The company has classified the award as a commercial domestic contract and confirmed the absence of related party interests.

Both awards were disclosed in compliance with the Securities and Exchange Board of India Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations. The Letter of Award for the 700 MW solar and 2,800 MWh ESS project was received on 27 August 2026 and the Letter of Award for the 291 MWp solar photovoltaic and 280 MWh EPC project was received on 28 August 2026. The transactions reinforce Waaree's expansion in utility scale solar and battery backed renewable energy while adding execution workload across development and EPC domains.
