Mumbai, July 7 -- The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) will take place in Greater Noida from 25 to 29 September 2026 and aims to provide a global trading platform for nine million MSMEs across the state. Organisers expect the event to attract 550 international buyers from more than 80 countries and 45,000 business-to-business buyers, and it is promoted as capable of delivering a Rs 250 bn boost for micro, small and medium enterprises. The exhibition is positioned as a showcase for manufacturing, innovation and exports under the theme UP for Global Growth: Innovation, Manufacturing & Exports.

Officials estimate the show could generate Rs 50 bn in business enquiries and Rs 200 bn in potential business generation while facilitating over 5,000 memoranda of understanding between domestic and global trading partners. Sub themes include Make in UP, Export from UP, One District One Product (ODOP) to Global Markets, MSME and Startup Empowerment, Sustainable Manufacturing, Digital Trade and E-Commerce, and Investment and Logistics Hub. Large delegations from industry, ecommerce platforms and multinational sourcing firms are being invited to participate.

The state plans to use UPITS to advance its ambition to become a one tn dollar economy by 2030 and to pitch Uttar Pradesh as a global sourcing hub for multinational trading firms, importers and exporters. Promotional activity will include major city hoardings and airport branding installed two months before the event to create momentum and draw buyers. The organisers intend to combine trade exchange with demonstrations of digital trade tools and sustainable manufacturing practices.

In a review meeting the state chief secretary, S P Goyal, stressed that the event should be organised with greater grandeur and should incorporate innovative business models and exhibitions in sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, dairy, fisheries and food processing. He also called for presentation of the state's cultural diversity through traditional arts and the One District One Cuisine initiative to give local flavours an international platform. Event planners expect the combined commercial and cultural programme to widen market access for producers across Uttar Pradesh.
