Mumbai, July 1 -- Transrail Lighting has secured new international orders valued at Rs 4,590 million (mn), predominantly in the transmission and distribution (T&D) business in overseas markets. The orders comprise engineering, procurement and construction projects for transmission line construction in the MENA region. The company said the wins strengthen its international order book and broaden its project footprint across North Africa and the Middle East. Management indicated that the contracts will support revenue visibility over the coming months.
With these awards the company's order inflow for the year has reached Rs 10,340 mn, while it holds a lead position on tenders amounting to Rs 4,000 mn. The inflow figure reflects growth in international bookings and underlines continued demand for T&D infrastructure. Analysts say the results demonstrate the firm's ability to convert bids into contracts in targeted markets. The company will now focus on project execution and supply chain alignment to meet delivery schedules.
The recent contracts are concentrated in the transmission segment and are expected to involve tower erection, conductor stringing and associated civil works.
