Mumbai, July 20 -- Tembo Global Industries has commissioned a new manufacturing facility in Vasai, Maharashtra, increasing its annual production capacity from 18,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 100,000 MTPA.
Developed with an investment of Rs 750 million, the 120,000-sq-ft integrated facility has been established to enhance manufacturing efficiency, strengthen supply chain capabilities and support future growth across the company's engineering and infrastructure businesses.
The plant includes an in-house research and development (R&D) centre focused on product innovation and the development of engineering solutions for evolving market requirements. According to the company, the strategic location of the facility is expected to improve raw material sourcing, distribution efficiency and delivery timelines.
Tembo said the expanded manufacturing base will support its operations in high-growth segments such as electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. The company expects the increased capacity and continued focus on forward and backward integration to improve operational efficiency and manufacturing costs.
Commenting on the commissioning, Sanjay J. Patel, Managing Director, Tembo Global Industries, said the new facility marks a significant milestone in the company's growth strategy and strengthens its manufacturing, research and product development capabilities.
The company estimates that the expanded capacity could support peak annual revenues of around Rs 7 billion over the coming years, driven by demand from infrastructure, industrial and engineering sectors.
Tembo Global Industries holds UL and FM approvals and is certified to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
