Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure that the proposed airports at Adilabad and Warangal reflect the state's culture, traditional craftsmanship and architectural heritage. He also called for these elements to be incorporated into the Telangana Bhavan project being constructed in Delhi.

Reddy issued the directions during a review meeting at the Secretariat in Hyderabad on Tuesday, where officials presented designs for the two airports and the Telangana Bhavan building. He suggested several changes and instructed officials to give prominence to Telangana's cultural identity in all three projects.

The chief minister directed officials to follow Vastu principles and draw on the traditions represented by the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam, Ramappa temple and Pillalamarri temple. He said the architectural heritage associated with these landmarks should be reflected in the construction and design of the proposed facilities.

The meeting also examined infrastructure issues around the airport sites, including the shifting of electric and telephone lines, the diversion of local streams, the relocation of water supply pipelines and changes to nearby roads. Reddy directed officials from the Energy, Roads and Buildings, Drinking Water Supply, Irrigation and BSNL departments, among others, to hold a joint meeting to resolve these matters.

He instructed officials to build approach roads from the airport compound walls and connect them to the nearest district, state and national highways. If local streams need to be diverted, tanks should be constructed near the proposed airports to safely manage the water, he said, while stressing that roads leading to the facilities should be widened and linked to important highways.

Reddy directed officials to complete the works within the stipulated timelines. Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, MPs Vem Narender Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju and other officials attended the meeting.
