Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- Syrma SGS Elemaster, a joint venture between Syrma SGS Technology and Italy-based Elemaster Group, has opened a new high-reliability electronics manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The inauguration in the Bommasandra Industrial Area represents a significant milestone in the venture's drive to build advanced electronics manufacturing capabilities in India and to support customers in domestic and global markets where quality and stringent manufacturing standards are critical. The move forms part of the partners' strategic expansion into specialised manufacturing.
The 20,000 sq ft facility is equipped with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Through-Hole Technology (THT) and box-build assembly lines and has been established to address rising demand for high-reliability electronics. The site will target sectors such as railways and transportation, industrial electronics, energy and medical electronics while enabling the joint venture to serve global original equipment manufacturers with locally based high-quality production. The plant incorporates modern process controls and testing to meet stringent reliability requirements.
Company executives described the facility as providing a competitive platform for high-reliability electronics manufacturing and said the partnership would combine Elemaster's engineering, technology and manufacturing expertise with Syrma SGS's scale and presence in India. They indicated that the joint venture intends to leverage these strengths to offer enhanced engineering depth and reliability to both existing and new customers. The initiative is intended to align with evolving global supply chains and to attract business that prioritises quality and engineering competence.
The partners said the venture aims to contribute to the broader Make in India ambition by building capabilities that are globally relevant and by creating opportunities for global customers from India. The facility's integrated SMT, THT and box-build capacities are expected to enable delivery of greater value to customers and to expand manufacturing opportunities in sectors requiring stringent quality controls. The companies view the plant as a foundation for long-term growth in the Indian market.
