Mumbai, Oct. 8 -- Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RRECL) has invited global online bids to appoint a developer for the 900 MW/5,400 MWh Rampura Pumped Storage Project in Tonk, Rajasthan. The facility will be developed on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer basis through Global Tariff Based Competitive Bidding, followed by an e-Reverse Auction.

The tender has been issued under reference number RRECL/TN-11(2026-27) and Bid No. RREC/Online/2026/Rampura-900 MW PSP/TBCB/Tender-00055. The project is intended to provide large-scale energy storage capacity to support the integration and management of renewable power in Rajasthan.

The bid document costs Rs. 59,000, inclusive of GST, while the online bid processing fee is Rs. 2.36 mn, also including GST. Bidders must provide an Earnest Money Deposit or bid security of Rs. 1.08 bn, which may be submitted through a Demand Draft, Banker's Cheque, Bank Guarantee or Insurance Surety Bond in the prescribed format. The tender does not specify a separate Performance Bank Guarantee amount.

Bid document downloads opened on September 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM, and the pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 27 at 11:00 AM. Online bid submission will begin on November 30 at 4:00 PM, with the same time set as the submission deadline, while physical submission of fees and security instruments will remain open until 6:00 PM that day. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on December 1 at 12:00 PM.

Eligible bidders can access the Request for Selection documents through Rajasthan government procurement portals and the official RRECL website after completing enrolment on the e-procurement portal. Payments must be made through the specified banking channels, with RRECL-related fees payable in Jaipur and the applicable RISL fee payable separately in Jaipur. Physical instruments must be delivered to RRECL's office at E-166, Yudhisthir Marg, C-Scheme, Jaipur. RRECL has advised bidders to submit materials early, stating that the deadline will not be extended for portal outages or technical failures. The corporation may accept or reject bids, reject part of a bid, or cancel the procurement process without assigning reasons.
