Mumbai, July 21 -- Rajesh Power Services (RPS) has secured orders totalling Rs 343.7 million (mn) including taxes from two state power utilities for grid equipment works and line modification. The orders were awarded by Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPNL) and cover projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The scope includes systems readiness, rectification of ring main units and conversion of an overhead double circuit line into an underground cable route.
Under the PGVCL contract RPS will undertake supervisory control and data acquisition readiness and rectification of ring main units with a Complete Cover Warranty Maintenance Contract (CMC) across the Bhavnagar Circle, Jamnagar Circle and Rajkot Circle. The company will be responsible for ensuring system integration and warranty maintenance under the CMC while coordinating with local grid teams. Work is scheduled to proceed in the normal course of operations and will follow applicable technical and safety standards.
The RVPNL order relates to modification of the existing 220 kV double circuit Jodhpur to CHB overhead line into a 220 kV underground cable system and includes provision for a monopole at the RVPNL site in Jodhpur. This element requires civil and electrical works associated with cable laying, terminal assemblies and protective systems. The assignment will demand tight sequencing to minimise disruption to supply and to meet commissioning timelines.
RPS indicated the orders were secured in the normal course of business and form part of its ongoing project pipeline. The company recorded the value as Rs 343.7 mn inclusive of applicable taxes and will move to execution and mobilisation phases. The announcement followed standard corporate communication channels and noted no external journalist participation in the preparation of the release.
