
Mumbai, June 26 -- NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has invited engineering, procurement and construction bids for a 550 megawatt (MW) grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project near Shimbhoo Ka Burj in Rajasthan. The invitation sets an online bid submission deadline of 26 June 2026 and schedules the techno-commercial bid opening on the same day. The project is being issued through the company's published tender documents and will follow the applicable procurement timelines. The facility is described in the tender as a grid-interfaced solar installation intended to supply renewable energy into the regional grid.
The EPC scope covers design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar PV plant, including photovoltaic modules. The package specifies tracker-based module mounting structures together with civil works and grid interface works required for interconnection. It also includes supervisory control and data acquisition systems, closed circuit television and module cleaning systems. Internal roads, drainage and other site services are listed as part of the contractor's responsibilities.
The successful contractor will be obliged to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for three years from the date of full project commissioning. The contract documentation will set out performance guarantees, testing protocols and handover procedures that the contractor must meet. The tender requires bidders to demonstrate prior experience, technical capability and financial capacity in line with the qualification criteria. Bid evaluation will follow the tender terms and the specified techno-commercial and financial evaluation methodology.
The bid security has been fixed at Rs 200 mn and bidders must furnish this as part of their submission. Bidders are required to submit separate techno-commercial and financial bids through the designated online portal and to comply with all tender conditions.
