Mumbai, Nov. 2 -- Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary chaired a review meeting in Anini on Tuesday to assess ongoing development projects and address infrastructure challenges in Dibang Valley district. The meeting brought together senior district officials and departmental representatives to examine the progress of key initiatives.

Choudhary directed officials to accelerate work on strategically important border roads and the proposed Roing-Anini Greenfield Bypass. He also reviewed the expansion of 4G connectivity and the status of pending forest clearances, which are required for the implementation of several projects in the remote district.

The minister identified tourism and agriculture as areas with significant potential in Dibang Valley. He encouraged local youth to pursue opportunities in eco-tourism, adventure tourism, hospitality and skill development, while stressing that tourism growth should be managed sustainably to protect the district's natural environment.

The meeting also focused on measures to improve farmers' incomes through the promotion of high-value horticultural crops, stronger market linkages and better cold storage facilities. Officials discussed shortages of medical specialists, emergency healthcare services, drinking water infrastructure and renewable energy initiatives. Choudhary called for interdepartmental coordination, timely project execution and people-centred governance, reaffirming the Union government's commitment to improving infrastructure and living standards in remote border areas under the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
