Mumbai, June 26 -- Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd. has commissioned a 31 megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project at Junachay village in Kutch district, Gujarat, for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited. The project was developed under the Renewable Energy Policy and Green Energy Mission and demonstrates the company's execution capabilities on large-scale renewable installations. Construction ran from October 2022 to March 2026, reflecting sustained project management and engineering delivery. The plant establishes additional renewable capacity in the region.
The array incorporates high-efficiency 550 Wp bifacial modules and a single-axis tracker mounting system to enhance daily energy capture and improve overall yield. Equipment selection emphasises dual-side absorption and tracking to raise generation relative to fixed-tilt systems. Technical features were chosen to ensure long-term reliability and to optimise capacity factors in the local climate. The design aligns with national targets for clean energy deployment.
Kosol Energie framed the commissioning as a continuation of its strategy to combine advanced technology with execution strength to support India's clean energy ambitions, according to company statements. The company noted that the Junachay project strengthens its position as a trusted partner for public sector utilities and reinforces commitments to sustainable infrastructure. Delivery of the plant was presented as evidence of capacity to meet large contract timelines and performance requirements. Operations will be handed over to the off-taker for integration into the grid.
The project is expected to contribute substantially to clean power generation in the region and to assist in reducing carbon emissions while supporting growing energy demand from sustainable sources.
