Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- JAKSON Engineers Limited, part of the JAKSON Group, has appointed Ivan Saha as its new Managing Director to lead its integrated solar manufacturing business. He will oversee technology strategy, manufacturing operations and business growth across its manufacturing units.
Saha brings extensive leadership experience in the renewable energy and photovoltaic sectors, having most recently served as chief executive officer of Reliance Infrastructure's renewable manufacturing business. He has held senior positions at Vikram Solar and ReNew and has over 31 years of experience across the semiconductor, solar and sustainable energy sectors.
Earlier in his career he was chief executive officer of Vikram Solar and previously held the roles of chief technology officer and head of manufacturing. He served as chief technology officer at ReNew Power and held leadership roles at Moser Baer Photovoltaic and the Indian Space Research Organisation. Saha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Technology from the University of Calcutta and a Master of Technology degree in Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Motorola University.
He is a member of the World Solar Congress Advisory Board and has authored more than 65 research papers and has filed over 10 patent applications in photovoltaic technology. JAKSON said the leadership change would strengthen its manufacturing footprint and advance large-scale backward integration plans across the solar value chain.
Company leadership indicated that Saha's appointment aligns with a long-term strategy to build businesses that address evolving energy needs and support continued investment in advanced manufacturing. The vice chairman highlighted that as solar manufacturing becomes more integrated and digitalised, process control, quality and cost efficiency will increasingly shape competitiveness, and that Saha's experience in these domains will be valuable.
Saha's technical, operational and business expertise is expected to support JAKSON's efforts to scale integrated manufacturing and enhance domestic competitiveness in the solar sector. The appointment is positioned as a strategic step in the group's broader plans to deepen manufacturing capabilities and pursue growth across the solar value chain.
