Mumbai, Sept. 4 -- InSolare Energy Limited has been awarded a 52.5 megawatt-peak (MWp) and 35 megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar engineering, procurement and construction contract at Shri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab. The company described the assignment as its second-largest project in the state and said it will strengthen its regional presence. The scheme follows the firm's recent delivery of a separate 55 MWp open-access project in Bathinda for a commercial and industrial client. Work will follow established construction schedules and local permitting processes.

It delivered the Bathinda project earlier this year across 120 acres and incorporated 94,248 bifacial modules. The plant used a central inverter architecture and was integrated with a 66 kV grid connection. The earlier project was ground-mounted and built for a leading commercial and industrial off-taker, demonstrating the firm's capacity to execute large utility-scale assignments. The design sought to optimise land use and module yield under local site conditions.

Founded in 2008, InSolare established India's first five megawatt (MW) solar tracker scheme in 2011 and later delivered Asia's largest canal-top solar system in 2017. The company now maintains a one gigawatt-plus (GW+) EPC portfolio across 22 states and has expanded into module manufacturing with TOPCon technology, electrolyser solutions and green hydrogen projects. These moves reflect a strategic shift towards integrated energy infrastructure and end-to-end clean energy delivery. Operational experience from earlier projects will inform execution and quality assurance.

Shri Muktsar Sahib has become an established utility-scale solar location in Punjab, with multiple projects developed under the state programme. The Punjab Energy Development Agency database lists projects across the district, including Azure Power's 24 MW scheme at Killanwali, commissioned in January 2016, alongside several installations in the four-15 MW range. The latest award adds to the cluster of utility-scale capacity and signals continued investor interest in the district. The award completes another step in the district's build-out and supports long-term capacity growth.
