Mumbai, Aug. 3 -- Inox Wind has secured a 200 megawatt (MW) order from NLC India valued at about Rs 16 bn, the company said. The project is scheduled for commissioning within 24 months from the date of the letter of award and will be executed on a turnkey basis. Inox Wind will undertake end-to-end execution including supply of wind turbine generators, engineering, procurement and construction and post-commissioning operations and maintenance.
The contract reinforces the company's position as one of India's leading integrated wind energy solutions providers with experience in delivering large-scale turnkey projects. The company indicated that its order book stands at four point seven gigawatt (GW), comprising a diversified mix of commercial and industrial customers, public sector undertakings and independent power producers. The balanced customer portfolio was described as providing strong revenue visibility and long-term execution clarity.
Inox Wind's leadership said the repeat order from NLC India, a major public sector enterprise in the power sector, validated the firm's integrated turnkey capabilities and execution expertise. The company noted that the project would augment its ability to support the acceleration of renewable capacity addition across India. Under the terms, Inox Wind will be responsible for onshore installation, grid connection and lifecycle services aimed at ensuring sustained performance.
Industry observers will view the award as part of broader momentum in the renewable segment where public and private buyers are expanding wind portfolios. The order is expected to contribute to long-term revenue streams as the company progresses delivery milestones and operational handovers.
